Class Objective:

 

First impressions during an audition are everything, while the audition skill set is one piece of the puzzle, the monologue of choice can also make or break the audition.  This class will help actors workshop their monologue, work out the beats, find the meanings, and gain skills in successful delivering their monologue.​

CLASS 1:

​

• Initial presentation of your chosen monologue.

• Understanding beats and their meanings.

• Emotion, and the meaning behind the words.

• Objectives behind the words, funding your characters motivation.

CLASS 2:

​

• Presentation of emotion, wants, needs, and objectives.

• The truth behind your character.

• Final presentation of your monologue for the class.

​

All classes will take place virtually via Zoom.  Our hope is that once the monologue is workshopped they can be presented live via Zoom for your friends and family is a special third class on Sunday, May 30, 2021.

Pre-registration is needed to attend the virtual class.

Note: The class needs at least 4-students to run.  Should the class be canceled, students will be refunded their tuition minus the Eventbrite transaction fee.    No refunds or exchanges permitted otherwise.
