As the educational branch of the Dramatic Theatre Company, our school is dedicated to nurturing performers of all ages and experience levels in a supportive, inspiring, and highly theatrical environment. Whether you’re stepping into a rehearsal space for the very first time or continuing to develop your craft, we offer a place to grow, explore, and shine.
At The Dramatic Theatre School, we believe theatre is for everyone. Our programs focus on building strong foundations in acting, voice, movement, and character development, while also encouraging creativity, collaboration, and confidence. Students are guided by passionate instructors through engaging classes, workshops, and rehearsals designed to challenge and inspire. From beginner courses to performance-based programs, each class is crafted to help individuals discover their unique artistic voice.

INTRODUCTION TO FILM
Class Dates / Times: Monday evenings, beginning September 14 - December 7, 2026 (6PM - 7PM)

Discover the art of filmmaking in this foundational course designed for beginners. Explore the history of cinema, visual storytelling, film genres, directing, cinematography, editing, and screenwriting while developing the skills to analyze and appreciate film as both an art form and a powerful medium of communication. No previous experience is required—just a passion for movies and storytelling.
Through film screenings, discussions, and hands-on activities, students will learn how filmmakers use camera angles, lighting, sound, performance, and editing to create meaning and evoke emotion. Whether you dream of working in the film industry or simply want to deepen your understanding of the movies you love, this course provides a strong foundation in the language and craft of film.
ADVANCE FILM STUDY
Class Dates / Times: Tuesday evenings, beginning September 15 - May 4, 2027 (6PM - 7PM)
Ages: Students ages 16+ can join this class

Tuition: $500 + $25 seat registration fee (2-term class, payment plan available)
Take your understanding of cinema to the next level in this in-depth course for students with a foundational knowledge of film. Through the study of influential filmmakers, landmark films, and advanced critical theories, students will explore how cinema reflects culture, history, politics, and human experience. Topics may include auteur theory, genre evolution, international cinema, contemporary filmmaking trends, and advanced film analysis.
Through screenings, discussions, research, and analytical projects, students will develop a deeper appreciation for the artistic and technical choices that shape great films. This course challenges students to think critically, engage with complex ideas, and strengthen their ability to interpret and discuss film as a sophisticated art form. Ideal for aspiring filmmakers, performers, writers, and dedicated film enthusiasts alike.
AUDITION FOUNDATIONS
Class Dates / Times: Thursday evenings, beginning September 17 - December 10 2026 (7PM-9PM)
Ages: Students ages 16+ can join this class

Tuition: $225 + $25 seat registration fee
Audition Foundations is designed for actors at any stage of their journey who want to approach auditions with greater confidence, preparation, and professionalism. Whether you've ever left an audition thinking, "I prepared so much, and it still didn't go my way," or wondered how to better organize your materials and preparation process, this course will provide practical tools to help you succeed. Students will learn industry best practices for self-tape auditions, slating techniques, selecting and organizing audition material, building a reliable audition book, customizing résumés, and developing strategies to manage nerves and perform at their best under pressure we call it Audition Psychology.
Throughout the term, participants will gain hands-on experience through workshops, mock auditions, and individualized feedback designed to strengthen both preparation and performance.
